7 Signs You're In A Bad Restaurant

Although I try to promote home cooking, sometimes you just need to get a little break and go out. However, if you're not careful, many things can go wrong. Even in some of the best 5 star restaurants, you can get a nasty surprise you didn't pay for, or expect to live it there. So, these are the most common signs you need to watch out for, because any of them means you're in a bad restaurant.

Sign #1: No greeting at the door
When you walk in the restaurant, there should be a staff member who smiles at you, takes your reservation, shows you to your table. If there is none at the moment, they should at least apologise for keeping you waiting.

Sign #2: A dirty table
It doesn't matter, how good the food is, or how many stars does the place have. If the table or the things on it are dirty, that's a clear indication of a bad restaurant. Sadly, it happens quite a lot. So, when you see something like that, you should never go to that place again.

Sign #3: An empty place
Good restaurants have a bunch of guests, especially at those busy hours. Great restaurants should be fully booked. But, if you come to the place on a Friday night and it looks deserted, stay away.

Sign #4: A filthy bathroom
Bathroom is that part of the restaurant which reflects the overall cleanliness. While ordinary restaurants or bars can get away with a little dirt here and there, those high-end places should never have a dirty spot in their bathrooms. No excuses, if that happens to you.

Sign #5: The hot entree comes cold
Good restaurants have a system in place that prevents such things from happening. So, if their system fails, it's not your fault and in such cases, don't be afraid to send the food back and demand a better service.

Sign #6: The bill comes with the food
Good restaurant never serves you the check along with the food. First, they have to wait for you to finish. I mean, there's hardly anything worse than getting a feeling of being forced to go away as soon as possible.

Sign #7: No goodbye in the end
This is one of the worst things that can happen to you as a guest. Saying Goodbye is one of the most basic manners every restaurant should have. Personally, I'd never go back to such restaurant again, because such behavior isn't tolerable.
